She graduated from the University of Cape Town and completed her specialist training with a focus on metabolic medicine, women's health, and complex chronic conditions.

Dr Janani Naicker was born and raised in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal — a city she continues to call home and serve. She completed both her undergraduate medical degree (MBChB) and her postgraduate specialist training (FCP(SA) & MMed Internal Medicine) at the University of Cape Town, one of Africa's foremost medical institutions.
Returning to Durban after her training, Dr Naicker has built her practice around a deep commitment to community upliftment — believing that excellent specialist care should be accessible, compassionate, and meaningful to the people she grew up alongside.
As a mother of two, Dr Naicker understands firsthand the weight of daily life — the juggle, the fatigue, the quiet moments of worry.
